Simone

Meet Simone M, our Certified Veterinary Technician, and Patient Care Team Leader. Simone has worked at Frontier since November 2015.

Do you have any nicknames?
My nickname, back home in California, is Bones- it was a skateboarding thing. I usually only been called that when I am back home visiting family and friends.

In your words, what is your job at Frontier?
I am a Certified Veterinary Technician. I take care of your pet’s outpatient procedures that are done, like blood draws, urine collections, bandaging, administering vaccines, wound treatments, and more. I also do In-Patient Care, so I assist our Veterinarians with surgeries, prepping animals, monitoring anesthesia, recovery of pets, and doing dental cleanings and assessments.

Why did you decide to work at Frontier?
I did my internship here when I was in Vet Tech school, I loved the Docs, Techs, front staff, and what Frontier stands for, so it was an easy choice.

Do you have any pets?
I have a 5-year-old Rottweiler named Draco, a 19-year-old black cat named Grease, and a 12-year-old black and white cat named Sniffles.

Tell us a little-known fact about you!
I’m from SoCal, so I love surfing, skateboarding, and lying on the beach soaking up the rays. I also love horseback riding, but these days, I don’t get to do it as often as I would like to. Though a bit rusty, I speak Spanish. I’m Italian and come from a big family, so I love family events, friends, and good food.
