Dr. Shalyn Stack

Dr. Stack joined our team in July 2023.

Dr. Shalyn Stack received her doctor of veterinary medicine degree from Washington State University after receiving her bachelor’s degree in wildlife conservation from the University of Washington. She chose to go into veterinary medicine to chase her passion for helping animals and their people in times of need. It’s been her lifelong dream to be a veterinarian.

Shalyn grew up in Spokane, Washington before moving to Seattle to attend the University of Washington. Veterinary school led her back to Pullman on the eastern side of the state. She knew ultimately that she wanted to stay close to family and friends but wanted to explore other areas in the Pacific Northwest. She fell in love with the nature and beauty surrounding Portland and ultimately chose to move to Oregon after veterinary school.

Dr. Stack’s main medical interests include preventative care, dentistry, and soft tissue surgery. She hopes to expand her ultrasonography skills as well as her career develops.

In her spare time, Dr. Stack is usually found at home cuddling her dog Freya or off trying different foods around Portland. She dabbles in many hobbies but loves to lift weights, play tennis and volleyball, paint and draw, and is an avid reader. She enjoys traveling and spending time outdoors with hiking and camping. You can catch her in the winters on a nearby mountain snowboarding or skiing.
