Curbside ends, and Frontier’s summer hours begin June 30!
Beginning June 30, our hospital will be open for you to enter with your pet, and we will close at 8 pm instead of 9 pm. Our amazing staff have and continue to work so hard to care for the pets in our community in what has been the busiest time in our hospital’s history (and in all of veterinary medicine!). We’ve decided to close an hour earlier to help give our staff much-needed time to enjoy the summer!
What can I expect at my visit after the curbside is over?
No more texting when you arrive, no more waiting in your car, and you’ll be present for your pet’s exam and discuss treatment with your veterinarian in person! For those of you who are longtime Frontier clients, it will look much like your pre-pandemic experience. One thing that will stay in the pre-appointment questionnaire since our veterinarians have found that having your input before your appointment is extremely helpful and expedites your pet’s treatment. So be on the lookout for your appointment confirmation email and/or reminder email, both of which will contain a link to complete the questionnaire online.
I’ve only started coming to Frontier during curbside; what should I expect?
First off, we’re so happy you chose us to care for your pets, and we can’t wait to meet you in person! When you arrive for your appointment, you’ll come into the lobby through the entrance door, where our reception Client Service Representatives (CSR) will check you in. Then your doctor’s assistant CSR will show you into an exam room, where you’ll meet your veterinarian, watch your pet’s exam and discuss a treatment plan and estimate. Once you’ve decided on a treatment plan, a Patient Service Representative (PSR) will take your pet to our Treatment Room and complete your pet’s services, while your doctor’s assistant CSR collects any food or medications to go home and completes invoicing in the exam room with you. The PSR will return your pet, and then you’re all set to go! You’ll still receive your invoice and full exam report via email.
I’d rather continue with curbside service. Can I still do that?
We won’t be offering curbside service because it will be too difficult to keep our appointments on time and continue offering urgent and emergency care while simultaneously seeing curbside and standard appointments. But the good news is we can always set your pet’s appointments up as a drop-off service! This needs to be arranged when you schedule your pet’s appointment to ensure we have the capacity for drop-offs on your chosen date, so make sure you discuss your preference for drop-off appointments when you call to schedule.
