Meet Jessie, our Client Service Team Leader. Jessie has worked at Frontier since April 2006.

Why did you decide to work at Frontier? After 18 yrs, I continue to choose to work here because of the staff. We’ve had amazing people work here that I’ve learned so much from! People come and go in life and I’m grateful for ALL of the incredible people I’ve worked with along the way. Vet med is a difficult field for many reasons, it’s important to have solid coworkers. Bonus points if they have a good sense of humor!

What’s the most inspiring part of your job?  Seeing people come in with a new pet after experiencing a long end of life journey with their beloved previous pet. The resilience of humans to bring these short, sweet lives into their own, knowing that they’ll experience grief, is endlessly inspiring to me.

What do you think are the best skills that you bring to your job? Crises do not phase me.

What do you think is your coworkers’ favorite thing about working with you? Medicine is not always an exact science, things are rarely black and white. We work with a lot of… difficult situations and my coworkers appreciate how I help decode ‘vet med’  into client-friendly information. I like transparency and getting to the crux of the matter asap to make sure we’re getting pets the best care and clients the information they need to make decisions.

Tell us about your pets! Daphne, my cat, is a 12 yr old, long-haired, grey and white floofy kitty.  She is my PERFECT PRETTY PRINCESS and I will do ANYTHING she wants. She owns me. Wallie is our 10 yr old scruffy pittie mix who LOVES coming to work with me when he can! He’s a super sweet little weirdo, a cross between Gonzo and Fozzie from the Muppets.  He can make anyone smile! He’s just a happy little dude.

What are you happiest doing, when you’re not working?  Being at home! I’m 100% an indoor cat. I like puttering around the house, fussing over my plants, working on Legos, playing Animal Crossing, daydreaming, napping, reading, and listening to podcasts. Rewatching comfort shows like Schitt’s Creek, Community, Only Murders in the Building, MST3K, Star Trek, 80’s Price is Right. Also, my favorite movie of all time, The Muppet Christmas Carol, a classic for ANY season.

If you could have any superpower, what would it be?  Teleportation.  I’ve been waiting for this since the first Star Trek episode I saw.

If you could invent a holiday, what would it definitely involve? Pizza. I love pizza. I’d eat it every day if I could. Sauce, veggies and cheese on a piece of bread, all melted? Yes, please.
