Dr. Hiebel joined our team in November 2024.
Dr. Katrina Hiebel is an Oregon native who grew up in Hillsboro. She received her undergraduate degree in Zoology from Oregon State University and continued there for veterinary school. She received her doctoral degree in Veterinary Medicine from Oregon State University in 2022. After graduating, Dr. Hiebel moved back to Hillsboro to be closer to family. She joined Frontier Veterinary Hospital in 2024.
Medically speaking, Dr. Hiebel’s interests include internal medicine, dermatology, preventative care, and dentistry. She is passionate about client education and providing quality care for her patients. Her ultimate goal is to improve the human-animal bond.
In her spare time, Dr. Hiebel and her husband like to travel, go hiking and bike riding, and spend time with their cats. Dr. Hiebel has 3 cats at home, Wizard, Kiwi, and Beans. They love attention and are very spoiled. However, it is a full house and Dr. Hiebel is not allowed to take home any more kittens from work.

- What do you think is your coworkers’ favorite thing about working with you? I always try to stay positive, even when we are stressed and busy.
- What are you happiest doing, when you’re not working? Being outside, specifically at a beach.
- If you could invent a holiday, what would it definitely involve? Take your pet to work day.
