Certified Veterinary Technician
Meet Simone M, one of our Certified Veterinary Technicians. Simone has worked at Frontier since November 2015.
Do you have any nicknames?
My nickname, back home in California, is Bones- it was a skateboarding thing. I usually only am called that when I am back home visiting family and friends.
In your words, what is your job at Frontier?
I work mostly in outpatient treatments, so I will be one of the crew from the back that comes to get your pet. I take care of your pets procedures that are done, like blood draws, urine collections, bandaging, administering vaccines, and wound treatments.
Why did you decide to work at Frontier?
I shadowed here about 6 years ago before I got into the Veterinary Technology program, and I also did an internship while I was in Tech school. I really enjoyed working with the team, everyone was so encouraging and helpful that I knew this would be a great place to work.
Do you have any pets?
I have a 10-year-old Rottweiler named Diesel, a 14-year-old black cat named Grease, a 6-year-old black and white cat named Sniffles, a 10-year-old tuxedo cat named Bogart, and three guinea pigs named Tui, Fluffy, and Ivy.
Tell us a little-known fact about you!
I am originally from Southern California, I love horseback riding, I also manage a holistic pet food store, and I love learning new things about animal nutrition. I am very family oriented, I come from a big Italian family, so I love family functions.
