Do you have any nicknames?
Not really, With such a short name, most people lengthen it or rhyme it with something. For example, Jessi calls me Hope on a Rope.
In your words, what is your job at Frontier?
In the simplest way possible. I help to manage the doctors’ schedules. Whether that is actually scheduling patients for an appointment or rooming you and your kiddo for said appointment and letting the doc know you’re here. To triaging any emergencies over the phone to see if we have the staff, time, and/or capabilities to help your kiddo the same day. I also try to take it upon myself to keep the staff laughing. Some days can be chaotic and a big ‘ole belly laugh can really go a long way, and sometimes just a sigh from a bad dad joke can ease some stress as well.
Why did you decide to work at Frontier?
I decided to apply to Frontier because I have a background in customer service and a never-ending love for pets. Therefore, I was able to combine my work skills with a personal passion, making for a more enjoyable work week. I cannot resist petting your dog or peeking through your cat’s kennel to say hi. So please bear with me while I try to get you checked out from your visit while simultaneously gawking at your pet.
Do you have any pets?
Yes, of course. A house isn’t a home without a pet. I have a 5-year-old pit mix named Jax. He is my rambunctious little cuddle bug. So high energy, but also just wants to snuggle up and sleep in your lap. My favorite quirk of his is that he likes to play with his food. He will take his favorite pieces of kibble and throw them in the air, and dart across the room to catch them. It is just as funny every time.
I also have two 8-year-old cats, Frank and Monroe. Monroe very much keeps to herself and is not a huge fan of the dog’s energy level, so she’s usually sleeping in a spare amazon box somewhere. Frank, on the other hand, wants to be exactly where you are at all times. If you’re on the couch, he’s in your lap, if you’re at the table, he’s in the chair next to you (if not trying to be in your lap) if you’re in the bedroom, you guessed it, at the door desperately trying to get in.
Tell us a little-known fact about you!
Let’s see, since the pandemic, I have had to find more hobbies to entertain me at home, so outside of work, I can usually be found cooking/baking, reading, tending to my 20 succulents, or crocheting. My husband and I just celebrated our 1st year here in the pacific northwest. We moved here from the midwest in August of 2020, so we still root for the home team when it comes to Hockey. Let’s Go Blues! We really enjoy trying all the new foods the PNW has to offer and can often be found at the food carts gorging ourselves in a cornucopia of flavors.
