Frontier Veterinary Hospital has been a part of the Hillsboro community since 1947. We share a common commitment to our area and the pets and people we serve. Our new state-of-the-art hospital, built in 2003, provides full-service veterinary care for our feline and canine friends.
Frontier Veterinary Hospital is a drug-free workplace. Drug testing is required as a condition of employment.

Client Service Representative
Skills required in a Client Services position at Frontier Veterinary Hospital include:
- Excellent communication skills, both in person and over the phone. These skills include accuracy in appointment scheduling, processing client arrivals/departures, and presenting treatment plans or services in a warm, friendly and professional manner.
- The ability to maintain composure in a fast-paced environment. Must thrive in a demanding position without compromising attention to detail or great customer service.
- Proficiency at operating basic office equipment, including but not limited to multi-line phones and fax/copier machines. Computers skills, with a minimum typing speed of 50 wpm, are essential.
- Have availability to work a rotating schedule that includes some evenings and weekends.
- Able to lift up to 35 lbs -- cat carriers and food.

Experienced Technician Assistant
A Technician Assistant assists our surgical teams with inpatient care. The successful candidate will have experience with:
|
- Cleaning and preparing surgical packs.
- Setting up for dental and surgical procedures.
- Assisting with exams and the induction of anesthesia.
- Using a computer to organize and prepare discharge paperwork.
- Leading a discharge appointment with owners.
- Applicants must also:
- Show excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- Have a demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment, without sacrificing attention to detail or safety.
- Be available to work a four day workweek, with 10 hour days.
- Be a team-player with an interest in working with a dynamic team dedicated to excellence and quality medical care.

Certified Veterinary Technician
Skills required in a Veterinary Technician at Frontier Veterinary Hospital include:

- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast paced practice.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact and communicate, both verbally and non verbally, with people of all ages.
- Able to work periodic early evening and Saturday shifts as needed.
- Interest in working with a dynamic team dedicated to excellence and quality care.
- Excellent professional references in the veterinary field required.
